Lost and Found.

Change is constant in life and in a neighbourhood. Change can bring benefits and represent loss. In Little Portugal, my home for over twenty years, most of its changes have been beneficial to me. In 2019, Katherine Mulherin, who owned a number of galleries and shared storefronts in this neighbourhood, took her life. For me this tragic event triggered a growing sense that the evolution of the neighbourhood had reached a tipping point. A few days after her passing, I set out to capture this increasing sense of nostalgia. The gelatin silver prints of images captured that day are sepia toned to respect the timelessness of change.
